Who is "ssst"? Could you tell us something about you?
"Ssst would be Nastasia Peters' internet nickname. I'm 20 years old, and half french, half dutch. Lived in both countries, currently i'm in France. I am trying to get my graphic design degree for september. Time goes by to fast! I work as a freelance illustrator on the side. I'm insomniac! "
Why and when did you start appreciating art?
"My parents are artists themselves, so it has always been simply there. We've never had a plain colored wall in our home. So I guess I always have appreciated art. My first finger painting was received by my parents the way the mona lisa was received by the world."
Do you look up to any artist in particular?
"Not really, I appreciate tons of them. Though what I can securely say is that I really enjoy the art and animation Tim burton creates."
How would you describe your art?
"Colorfull. Jup colors are very important to me."
What do you think differs your art from others?
"My brain/imagination. You give one word to 20 artists. And with that one word each and every one of them has to create an art piece inspired by that word. Each one of those 20 artists will create an original piece. Nobody thinks the same way, so that automatically differs you from others."
What are you currently working on? What can we expect from you in future?
"I'm currently working on a piece that I have to keep a secret until a certain date. Other than that, school.
My future? I have no idea. As long as I keep having fun creating images then I'm good. So I guess more artwork is what you can expect from me."
What are your 3 favourite deviations from your own gallery and why?
"That'd be my first fav. I think mainly because I found out how to use illustrator in my own way. Not that I didn't know before, but while working on that piece I simply figured out what style could make me most happy with the result."
"This would be my second. Cuz I simply love peter pan and captain hook."
"This would be my third. Drawing houses, roofs, windows, castles..etc. It just makes me really happy. And this piece happens to be valentine's day related. Which is my birth date."
